We picked up simple dishes that even a working mother with many children will find time for. They are healthy, tasty and suitable for kids. And most importantly, they require a minimum of attention - the slow cooker will do almost everything.


1. "Lazy" steamed dumplings

What you need if you want to pamper your child with a delicious and healthy dessert .

You will spend: 8 minutes

Cooking time in a slow cooker: 30 minutes

"Lazy" steamed dumplings

Ingredients:

  • Curd - 200 g
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Flour - 3 tbsp.
  • Soda - on the tip of a knife
  • Vanilla sugar or raisins - optional

How to cook:

  1. Combine cottage cheese, sugar, salt and soda. Vanilla sugar and raisins can be added if desired. Mix the ingredients thoroughly with a spoon.
  2. Add flour. Knead the mass until it stops sticking to your hands.
  3. Form small balls with slightly damp hands and place them on the wire rack (it comes with the multicooker). 
  4. Cook on the "Steam" or "Steam" mode for 30 minutes.
  5. Add butter, sour cream, jam or berries if desired.

2. Milk porridge 

A great option for a tasty and healthy breakfast .

You will spend: 5 minutes

Cooking time in a slow cooker: 35 minutes

Milk porridge

Ingredients:

  • Rice - ½ measuring cup
  • Buckwheat - ½ measuring cup
  • Milk - 4 measuring cups
  • Water - 4 measuring cups
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 pinch
  • Butter - 15 g

How to cook:

  1. Pour cereals into the multicooker bowl, add milk, water, sugar, salt and butter. Stir.
  2. Close the lid of the multicooker and cook the dish in the "Milk porridge" mode for 35 minutes.
  3. Stir after beep.
  4. Leave under a closed lid or in the “Heating” mode for 35 minutes. You can also cook in Delayed Start mode. 
  5. Stir before serving. You can add fruits or berries if you like.

3. Chicken noodle soup

A very tasty soup that children love so much.

You will spend: 10 minutes

Cooking time in a slow cooker: 1 hour 20 minutes

Chicken noodle soup

Ingredients:

  • Chicken - ⅓ carcass (about 500–600 g). You can also take separate parts - thighs, shins, etc.
  • Carrot - 1 pc.
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Egg noodles - 100 g
  • Water - 2–2.5 liters (depending on the volume of the multicooker bowl)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Dill or parsley - to taste
How to cook:

  1. Cut the chicken into small portions and place in a multicooker bowl. If necessary, to make the dish less greasy, you can remove the skin or use breast or thigh fillets.
  2. Cut the onion into cubes, grate the carrots. Add to chicken. Salt. 
  3. Pour boiling water up to the maximum mark on the multicooker bowl. 
  4. Close the multicooker lid and cook the dish in the "Soup" or "Stew" mode for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  5. After the beep, pour the noodles into the broth, mix all the ingredients and set the “Steaming” (or “Steamer”) mode. Do not close the lid and wait until the noodles are cooked. 
  6. Add herbs to taste. 

4. Vegetable stew with meatballs

Delicious and healthy dinner! Both children and adults will like it. 

You will spend: 10 minutes

Vegetable stew with meatballs

Ingredients:

  • Carrot - 1 pc.
  • Potato - 500 g
  • Zucchini - 500 g
  • Minced chicken - 400 g
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Tomato paste - 1 tbsp.
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Greens - to taste
How to cook: 

  1. Peel carrots and potatoes and cut into cubes or sticks. Cut the zucchini into cubes, sweet pepper into strips.
  2. Form small balls from minced chicken.
  3. Pour vegetable oil on the bottom of the multicooker, put on top in turn: carrots, potatoes, zucchini, meatballs, bell peppers. 
  4. Dilute tomato paste with 200 ml of boiling water, add salt and pour the resulting mixture into a slow cooker. 
  5. Close the lid of the multicooker and cook the dish in the “Baking” mode for one hour. 
  6. Garnish with herbs when serving, if desired. 

5. Meatballs in tomato sauce

Healthy, hearty and very tasty dish. It goes well with mashed potatoes, pasta and any other side dish. 

You will spend: 8 minutes

Cooking time in a slow cooker: 1 hour

Meatballs in tomato sauce

Ingredients:

  • Minced meat (from chicken, turkey or pork and beef) - 500 g
  • Boiled rice - 3 measuring cups
  • Tomato paste - 2 tbsp.
  • Sour cream (15% or 20% fat) - 2 tbsp.
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Bay leaf - 1 pc.
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Sugar - 1 tsp 
  • Salt - to taste
How to cook:

  1. Onion cut into small cubes.
  2. Add pre-cooked rice, onion and salt to minced meat. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Form meatballs from the resulting mass with wet hands and place them on the bottom of the bowl.
  4. Mix boiling water, tomato paste, sour cream, salt and sugar. Pour this mixture over the meatballs. Water should cover them by ¾, if necessary, you can add more boiling water.
  5. Add bay leaf, close the multicooker lid and cook on the "Extinguishing" mode for one hour. 
  6. If desired, you can decorate the dish with herbs.
