What's inside: snake venom in cosmetics (and why we all need it)

Jokes that women do not need cosmetics with snake venom, they have enough of their own, we will leave people who are not very good at humor. Let's talk about why this ingredient is so good.

What's inside: snake venom in cosmetics (and why we all need it)

What is it and how does it work

In fact, we are not talking about poison in its pure form, but about its beauty imitations - peptide Syn-ake... It is a powerful anti-aging ingredient developed and patented by the Swedish company Pentapharm Ltd, which mimics the effects of snake venom when it gets on the skin. But he does it, of course, as safely as possible for a person. And it provides muscle relaxation, and with it - smoothing out existing wrinkles and preventing the appearance of new ones.

Syn in the title, by the way, is no coincidence. This means that we are dealing with a synthetic peptide modeled in a laboratory using a real peptide as an example.

Syn-ake works by reducing sodium absorption by muscleswhich, in turn, inhibits the transmission of nerve impulses so that they remain relaxed. The molecule is believed to be small enough to penetrate the skin and target the facial muscles.

What products to use

As a cosmetic ingredient, the Syn-ake peptide can be added in most skin care products, including rich and lighter creams, gels and serums, sheet masks and patches, and other water-based products. It is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, if you have no known allergies or problems that require a special approach.

What will be the result

In the long term, with regular use, laboratory snake venom can improve the texture and condition of the skin by making it smoother and younger... Of course, it cannot be compared with Botox or its analogues in terms of the impact strength. But if you start using products with peptide early enough, you will be able to turn to injectable cosmetology later.

Who to use with caution

It is important to keep in mind that, being a very active (and even anti-aging) ingredient, Syn-ake in high concentrations may irritate sensitive skin... So be careful if you are just getting started with the component.

And if you have dermatological problems such as acne, rosacea or rosacea, the use of cosmetics with a peptide - as, indeed, any other active one - is useful to discuss with a dermatologist.
